Born a trail-blazer

For Ethan’s entire life, starting in his childhood, he constantly proved himself to be dedicated to blazing his own path.  He was an individual that did things how he wanted, headstrong and deliberate. As a kid, he was a happy-go-lucky guy who enjoyed playing sports, riding motorcycles, racing BMX, and swimming with his friends. He was always the first to jump in and try something new.

Following his passions & diving straight into vocational training

As Ethan entered high school, his drive to do what he actually wanted really shined. He chose his classes based not off of what he “should” do, but off of what felt fun, what he felt passionate about, and what felt truly useful to him for expanding upon his talents and using for the rest of his life to make an enjoyable living. He thrived being creative in his Media Arts and Video classes with Mr. Danielson, and took it upon himself to enroll in an ROP welding class at El Cajon High School 2 nights a week to get his certification in 2 disciplines of Welding, which he went on to use frequently in his own business.

Dumpster diving? Anything in the name of being innovative!

By his Senior year of high school, he had discovered a deep love for both cars and design, and was actively improving his skills daily.

In high school, he designed the original “E” (that is now widely known and loved by all of his friends and family) while playing around designing shirts, hats, and lettering for his friends’ jerseys.

Story time: One day, Ethan discovered that there was a motorcycle decal shop that was throwing away their mistake pieces. Being an enterprising young man, Ethan dumpster-dived to bring home the remnants and started modifying them to create his own designs. He continued this for quite a bit until the owner found out… Needless to say, he was not happy. He came over to visit and turned out to be a nice guy who did not feel the need to press charges for trespassing (thank goodness!)

EHD Designs is officially born

After this experience, Ethan decided it was time to go all in and get legit with his budding business.

He worked for hours upon hours on building his new business EHD (Ethan Hollander Designs), which focused on graphics, shirt designs, stickers, and more. His designs began to get traction and he started making stickers for car clubs, which then led into getting jobs tinting cars. Before long, he had expanded his business into cars and was infusing his creativity into auto detailing, tinting, wraps, and design work on top of his graphic work.

Turning passions into a career

Ethan was a car enthusiast, hitting shows or races whenever time allowed & squeezing in extra hours every day to tinker with his cars, even after working on cars for business all day long. In his short time as a licensed driver, Ethan had many cars and trucks, with his two favorites being his grey Toyota Truck and his Miata. His Miata was his prized possession - The car that really taught him how to drive and the car he enjoyed modifying the most. He loved a thrill and enjoyed racing his Miata in the timed sport car races (slalom) at Qualcomm. One of his favorite pastimes was waking up early on weekends and taking his Miata out on the twisting roads of the Lagunas, enjoying the thrill & open air. He loved to bring his camera along and take amazing shots of his car - Yet another creative avenue he thrived in.

Despite being busy running a business, Ethan always somehow created extra hours in the day to work on his cars as a hobby and always had “just one more” project to add to his plate. He dabbled in building a 240SX, did constant paint and body work on his Dakota, and was always modifying his Miata.

EHD Designs evolves into Restyle Pros

After graduating and deciding he was not cut out for the corporate America workforce, Ethan worked long and hard to get his business, which had evolved into Restyle Pros, off the ground. He worked long hours and long weeks, but enjoyed (almost) every minute of it because he was blazing his own path and doing what he loved. With some friends to help build the business, Ethan kept countless customers happy with Auto Detailing, Window Tinting, Wraps, and Design Work.

Dedicated to growing & improving his skill set

Restyle Pros became a serious business endeavor for Ethan, who built his customer base from the ground up and taught himself many aspects of running a business. His reputation with Restyle Pros gained ground and his business got busier and busier, so he hired some help to give himself time in the evenings to improve his skill set and teach himself how to wrap vehicles.

California Motorsports

Still flying the Restyle Pros banner, he caught the eye of a competitor who wanted Ethan to start up a shop in Orange County. From this, California Motorsports was formed and he stepped down from Restyle Pros, working on customers’ cars on the weekends.

Reaffirming his passion for blazing his own path

After this brief hiatus from his own business while working for California Motorsports, Ethan once again decided to follow his heart and design the life he wanted, and go back to being his own boss in his own business. He dove back into his business, AG3, with full force and focused on improving his design skills, detailing, tinting, wrapping, and building his business.
